Using Flight Windows

Tap Weather in the bottom navigation bar. The Flight Windows card appears below the current weather summary.

• If you already have saved windows, the card shows each location, flying style, status, and a seven-day forecast strip.
• If you have no saved windows, tap New flight window to create one.
• If you see Unlock Flight Windows, tap the card to view the in-app Pro information.

The first step is choosing the place you want SkySpot to watch. Use the Spots and Fields tabs, search by name, then tap the location you want.

You can also start from a location detail screen. On a field detail page, tap Flight window in the Forecast header. On a spot detail page, tap the Flight Window icon above the Forecast section. SkySpot fills in that location and takes you straight to the flying style step.

Choose the preset that best matches the kind of flying you are planning:

Presets fill in sensible starting values. You can adjust the exact thresholds on the next screen.

Set the weather limits SkySpot should compare against the forecast. You can adjust:

• Wind - minimum wind, maximum wind, and maximum gusts.
• Wind direction - useful for slope-soaring sites.
• Temperature - optional minimum and maximum values.
• Precipitation - maximum expected precipitation per hour.
• Time of day - the earliest and latest SAST hours you want included.

Optional filters can be switched on or left off. Use Reset to preset defaults if you want to return to the preset values.

Choose when SkySpot should look for matches:

• Select one or more days of the week, or use Every day.
• Set the lead time from 1 to 7 days ahead.
• Turn on Remind me the night before when the lead time is 2 days or more.

The preview sentence at the bottom summarises when you will be notified. Tap Save to create the Flight Window.

Each saved Flight Window shows a small seven-day strip on the Weather tab:

Tap a coloured day to open that field or spot's forecast for the selected date.

Tap a saved Flight Window on the Weather tab to manage it. The sheet shows your location, preset, thresholds, lead time, selected days, and reminder setting.

• Tap Edit to change thresholds or schedule settings.
• Tap Pause or Resume to control whether the window is active.
• Tap Delete to remove the window.

When SkySpot sends a Flight Window notification, opening it takes you to the matching field or spot. The Forecast section highlights the relevant day and shows the best matching time range when available.
