1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using the SkySpot SA mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. Account Responsibilities

• •You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• •You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• •One account per person — multiple accounts are not permitted
• •You must be at least 13 years old to use SkySpot SA

3. Community Guidelines

• •Be respectful to other pilots
• •Submit accurate information about flying fields and spots
• •Do not submit spam, inappropriate, or misleading content
• •Do not manipulate the vouching or XP system
• •Report content that violates these guidelines

4. Content Ownership

• •You retain ownership of content you submit, including photos and descriptions
• •By submitting content, you grant SkySpot SA a non-exclusive licence to display it within the app
• •We may remove content that violates these guidelines or our community standards

5. Moderation & Enforcement

SkySpot SA actively moderates content to maintain community safety and quality:

• •Content is moderated by admins and community reports
• •Reports trigger review when they reach a threshold
• •Violations may result in content removal, warnings, or bans
• •Ban durations: 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, or permanent
• •Banned users retain read-only access to public content

6. Safety Disclaimer

• •Airspace overlays, weather data, and NOTAMs are informational, not authoritative
• •Always consult official SACAA (South African Civil Aviation Authority) sources before flying
• •SkySpot SA is not responsible for flight safety decisions made based on information provided in the app

7. Limitation of Liability

• •SkySpot SA is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• •We make no guarantees about the accuracy of community-submitted data
• •We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the app

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. The collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be communicated through the app and on this page. Your continued use of SkySpot SA after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
